Whether you’re celebrating with family, friends, or taking time for yourself, let’s honor this day with gratitude, fun, and a little extra sparkle. Remember, healthy choices can be festive and delicious!

🍓 Healthy Recipe: Red, White & Blue Fruit Salad

Celebrate Independence Day with a colorful, nutrient-packed treat!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 1 cup cherries, pitted and halved
  • 1 cup watermelon, cubed
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
  • Zest and juice of 1 lime
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)

Directions:

  1. Combine all the fruit in a large bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix yogurt, lime zest, lime juice, and honey.
  3. Drizzle the yogurt mixture over the fruit and gently toss.
  4. Serve chilled and enjoy a burst of July flavor and fiber.

🥦 Eat the Rainbow: July’s Best Fruits & Veggies

Diversity on your plate means more fiber, vitamins, and minerals for your body. Here are some in-season picks to try this month:

Fruits:

  • Blueberries
  • Strawberries
  • Raspberries
  • Cherries
  • Watermelon
  • Peaches
  • Plums
  • Blackberries

Veggies:

  • Tomatoes
  • Zucchini
  • Cucumbers
  • Bell Peppers
  • Corn
  • Green Beans
  • Eggplant
  • Okra

Aim for at least 5 different colors each day—your gut (and taste buds) will thank you.

📝 July Wellness Reminders

  • Stay Hydrated: The summer heat can sneak up on us. Drink plenty of water, especially when active outdoors.
  • Wear Sunblock: No matter how tan you are, or how long you think you will be out in the sun, ALWAYS WEAR SUNSCREEN! Skin protection is improtant! Every age, every skin type, ALWAYS!
  • Practice Gratitude: Take a moment each day to reflect on what you’re thankful for—big or small.
  • You Belong Here: This is a space free from judgment, where your journey is honored and supported.
