May Mind & Body Reset

Hello Healthy Hub Fans!

May Wellness Reset

May always feels like a good time to pause, breathe, and begin again.

If the last few months have felt heavy, stressful, or simply full, I want you to know this month’s newsletter is here to support you — not pressure you. My hope is that you leave this email with one helpful idea, one small action step, and one reminder that you are never alone in your wellness journey.

From May 4th through June 3rd, we’re hosting a 30-Day Mind & Body Reset focused on lowering stress, supporting mental clarity, and building real-life habits that last.

What’s Included

This reset is simple, encouraging, and designed to fit real life.

Inside the private Facebook community, you’ll get:

  • Daily health tips.
  • Easy recipes.
  • Short live educational videos.
  • Lots of encouragement and accountability.
  • A free digital recipe book with community favorites.

We’ll be focusing on real whole food, real habits, and real changes — because sustainable wellness should feel supportive, not overwhelming.

If you’d like to join us, simply reply to this newsletter, and I’ll get you added to the Facebook group.

Wellness Wednesday

I’m also excited to invite you to Wellness Wednesday: Health Chat & Smoothie on May 20th at 6:00 PM at the Watauga Community Center, 7901 Indian Springs Rd.

We’ll be talking about mental health awareness, stress management, and simple ways to support mental clarity in everyday life.

It’s going to be a relaxed, encouraging evening with conversation, connection, and a smoothie to enjoy together. If you’ve been craving a little community and support, I’d love for you to come.

This Month’s Listen

If anxiety has felt louder lately, this YouTube episode may be a helpful place to start:
“How to Overcome Anxiety”

Sometimes hearing a calm, honest conversation about anxiety can help us feel less alone and more equipped. I love including resources like this because wellness is not only about what we eat or how we move, it’s also about what we feed our minds.

Here are a few articles I thought would be especially meaningful for women in midlife and beyond:

Midlife Mental Health: Navigating Emotional Changes
MHC San Diego shares how emotional shifts in midlife can show up as anxiety, mood changes, or feelings of isolation, especially during seasons like the empty nest years. One of the most helpful reminders in this piece is the value of open communication with loved ones, which can help reduce loneliness and support emotional well-being.

7 Tips to Keep You Healthy as You Age
UC Davis Health highlights the importance of purpose, daily habits, and long-term thinking as we age. One key point worth noting is that having a strong sense of purpose has been linked to better brain health and a lower risk of memory problems later in life.

5 Healthy Habits for Longevity in Your 40s
Stanford Medicine emphasizes that your 40s and 50s are powerful decades for protecting your future health. Their experts point out that silent conditions like high blood pressure and pre-diabetes can develop before symptoms appear, which is why routine monitoring and consistent habits matter so much.

A Gentle Reminder

You do not need to do everything at once.

Sometimes the most powerful change begins with one new habit, one honest conversation, one walk outside, or one decision to reach for support.

That is why I love creating spaces like this month’s reset and our community gathering, because healthy change is easier when we do it together.

If May feels like your time to reset, I’d love to have you with us.

With you in this journey, always learning and growing too.

Hello Healthy Hub Fans! April always feels like a fresh start, windows open, sunshine peeking in, and that urge to “spring clean” everything. This month, instead of just cleaning closets, we’re focusing on a gentler, deeper reset: spring‑cleaning your gut from the inside out. If you’ve been feeling stuck with your weight, more tired than usual, or riding the hormone roller coaster, your gut might be playing a bigger role than you realize. Why Your Gut Touches Everything Your gut is so much...

Hello Healthy Hub Fans! Last month, we focused on heart health, checking in on how we are doing physically and emotionally. This March, I want to talk about two systems that often dictate our daily energy and mood: your gut and your adrenal glands. If you’ve been feeling a bit "tired but wired," dealing with stubborn bloat, or just feel like your "get up and go" has got up and left, I want you to know: you are not behind, and you are definitely not alone. There is no judgment here, only a...

Hello Healthy Hub Fans! Last February, we spent time focusing on heart health, what it means, why it matters, and how small changes can add up over time. This year, I’d love to gently check in: How is your heart—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—one year later? There is truly no judgment here. You may feel stronger and more energized, or you may feel like life completely got in the way. Either way, you are welcome, you are not behind, and there is always something kind and simple you...
